| Online Music Directories |
|
Online Music Directories are places where artists such as yourselves can post their music, sometimes recieve reviews, be in charts, join in with a comunity of like minded individuals, and experience music
otherwise not heard by the outside world. If your an artist, or even if your not, these sites might entise you!

| Indie Music Works |
http://indiemusicworks.com "A site for musicians, built by musicians"
|
Indie Music Works is run by Walt, aka FloridaMusic. He built this OMD which is completly free to use with a great comunity.
Every Artist has 100MB space. There are no account upgrades/subscriptions. They are not here to make a buck off of you or your music.
The site is not geared to sell CD’s though you are welcome to post links on your artist page where you may have some for sale. There is no site store to buy items for sale.
The site was built by musicians who love Indipendent music and wanted to provide a laid back atmosphere.

| Jamendo |

Jamendo offers free access and free download of music tracks, published with Creative Commons licences. On Jamendo, the Artists choose to give access to their music for free to the users.
You can download mp3 music via the http protocol for free, legaly and without limitation, by clicking on the download links, directly from our player, from the album page or a playlist. The music is also available in ogg format and via eMule and BitTorrent networks (you can set this option in your preferences).
Jamendo enables all the users to make a donation to the Artists with a minimum of 5 Eur (or Dollars). In any case, jamendo retains as little as 50 cents for financial fees, the remaining sum is directly given to the Artists. Please note that the only Artists eligible for receiving money are those who have opted for the Program 'Donation'. But there is more, jamendo shares 50% of its advertising revenues to the Artists who opted for the Program 'Revenue Sharing'.
You can supply as many songs or albums as you like on Jamendo

| Soundclick |
 http://www.soundclick.com "The Artist Music Comunity"
|
Soundclicks main feature is UNLIMITED UPLOADS even if your a free user. If you do not pay for the service you can only upload 10mb 128kb MP3 files (still as many as you like),
but if you pay then you can upload 40mb files of any bitrate. You can sell your music through the site though they do take a whopping 30% of what you make.
The rules are very strict over there and the forums are moderated harshly. With the sites latest re-design some people feel its trying to emulate Myspace.

| Newgrounds |
 http://www.newgrounds.com "Everything by Everyone"

Newgrounds is actually primarily a Flash Movie/Game site started back in 1999 but in recent years has allowed musicians to upload their tracks to the site, up to 8mb in size for the comunity to review
and use in their projects. NG has a younger demographic than most sites, and the forums can be volatile flame wars at times, but the site design and features are just fantastic!
