I am working on a track with a hypnotist... but she speaks VERY quietly into the mic

Because she is speaking so quietly i have to boost the volumes on the track

When boosting the volumes there is alot of background HISS

She also in between talking makes lots of annoying "camel chewing" noises and strange nose exhailations

The music does not cover any of this up as it has to be VERY QUIET in the background.

Obviously I have taken out some of the HIGH frequencies, and De-ess to resolve the hiss issue, though its not enough, but if i take too much out her voice is very bassy, or too quiet.

Also i have manually cut the "camel" impressions out.. and there is a noticible change in the parts with camel removed as there is no background hiss at all.. unless i take out everything above like 4k.. but then if i do that the voice is too bassy

I got her round to re-record it for me, saying i need a stronger vocal...

she records the thing.. at the same volume
and then says if she goes any louder she is afraid that she will lose her hypnotic tones.

So what I need to know is...
What plugins will help me remove the hiss, without taking away from her voice
remove the camel impressions without making a gap (or do i fill that in with more blank parts from her audio?)

I have little to no experience with vocals, and usually when i am doing vocals, the vocal is loud and the music is loud enough so that you don't hear any hiss on the vocal.. if there is any at all..

You could try a noise gate like Green Gate or Floorfish but if the vocals are too close to the hiss in volume it probably won't work too well.

Dicarlo suggested that I tried X-Noise which is a waves plugin.
One i own but have never used, I was bought one of the waves bundles a couple of years back
but the last couple of years i have moved around and been so hectic with kids n stuff like that that i havent really got to learn any of them...
Anyway i played with it.. and its almost perfect...
did a lil EQ and limiting on top.
There is still a slight hiss there
but i think thats purely because she spoke so quiet I had to boost the volumes.

Will post the results momenterily

lol will

well here is a version of the track that sounds alot better...
She has left out parts and there are bits that are extra so the vocal insn't final
you might remember the backing track from my track "sleep and positive emotions"
Its quiet (as in the music) because she decreed it so, and i think she still thinks it's too loud...

Well other than a retake which is probably your best bet, this is an amazing product for cleaning up vocal tracks and everything else for that matter.
